Apogee Search on the Road Again as 2008 Speaking Circuit Expands

AUSTIN, TX – March 5, 2008 – Leading search marketing firm Apogee Search today announced its March 2008 speaking calendar. CEO William Leake will deliver actionable insights on search engine optimization, analytics and pay-per-click to audiences at South by Southwest, the Minneapolis Interactive Marketing Association and OMMA Global Expo.

Beginning on March 9 at 5:00 p.m. CST, Leake will present "SEO 3.0: Optimizing Search & Social for 2008 and Beyond" at South by Southwest Interactive in Austin, TX. During his solo session, Leake will discuss upcoming trends in search including personalized search that brings the concept of behavioral targeting and customization to search to optimize the consumer experience, new strategies for local search, search marketing on video sharing and social networking sites and real-life examples from companies who successfully breathed new life into their SEO campaigns.

From there, Leake will go on to lead an event for the Minneapolis Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA) on March 12 titled “Analytics and Search Behind the Scenes.” Starting at 8:00 a.m. CST, Leake will help attendees better understand where search engine marketing fits within the overall marketing mix. Furthermore, he will discuss the analytics behind search and how, with good management, marketers can distinguish the strengths and weaknesses of their multi-channel marketing campaign. The event is free for MIMA members and students.

Rounding out the March 2008 speaking circuit, Leake will travel to Hollywood, CA, for the OMMA Global Conference and Expo. On March 18 at 12:00 p.m. PST, he will participate in the media track session “SEO is not Rocket Science, but that doesn't mean it's easy.” Leake will discuss the importance of proper keyword selection, off-page factors, tips for link building and how to continually adapt to the changes and evolution of the search marketing industry. Co-panelists include Jonathan Nelson, SEO manager for ApartmentGuide.com, and Baron Ginnetti, director of SEO for Pronto.com.
