I can see how the ad could offend some people, but anything out of the ordinary is likely to offend someone. The interesting thing is that it happened to offend some very vocal people in a viral medium that is highly visible and easy to monitor.

I think it was a smart move for Motrin to respond to the outcry, but I wonder how the instant feedback will affect creativity in marketing. Companies can&#039;t afford to not listen to their customers, but creativity might not be able to withstand 100% visibility into negative feedback.</description>
