Click Forensics has released its first Click Fraud Index, finding a fraud rate of 14%. While this is certainly lower than the 20% number thrown around by some, it is much higher than the 0.75% refund offered by Google.

Merrill Lynch declares that a 28% projected growth in 2006 is too conservative. Of course, Google is growing both from an increasing market, and by grabbing share from its competitors. This makes growth projections difficult, to say the least.

As of July 1st, Google will be charging a per-use fee for its API into AdWords. Hopefully, it’ll be less prone to timeouts by then.
