Google Base looks to be a publically searchable database system. Users will be able to upload whatever data they wish. Some think Google’s main goal here is a classified ads system a la CraigsList. Thanks, Chris, for the link.

Of course, placing comment tags in your code about how you’re hiding text is a bit on the stupid side, but more interesting is the reference to using CSS to hide text. If Google is not already looking for this, they soon will be.
